At Sydney's very first SXSW, we didn't just talk about web3 loyalty; we brought it to life.

We invited participants to engage with a unique AR gamified instant win experience by scanning a QR code. With 2 taps, each participant set up their first web3 SmartWallet. The prize was a backpack from Fjallraven, one of our longstanding loyalty clients who has increased their lifetime value of a customer by 45% by partnering with SMT on Web3 loyalty and engagement activations.

The SXSW interactive demonstration was a success, producing a 99% engagement rate

The activation proved how effortlessly customers can be integrated into the Web 3.0 ecosystem, all without any technical hassle. It also highlighted the growing desire of people to engage with brands they love in fun and innovative ways.

Invited by our partner WPP, Matt Hunt took the stage to deliver a keynote: How to Not F%$% Up The Next Internet.. Matt contextualizes the history of the internet, the transition from Web 1.0's user-generated content era to Web 2.0's social media and mobile internet boom, and now to the burgeoning world of Web 3.0. In this new digital era, customers are seeking deeper connections with their favorite brands, and Web 3.0 emerges as the ideal medium to cut through the digital clutter.

Key takeaways from Matt's keynote included:

  • Long-Term Value Creation: Web 3.0 loyalty solutions have the potential to increase customer lifetime value by up to 45%. This significant lift is attributed to deeper, data-driven customer relationships and personalized engagement strategies.
  • Democratization of Data: Web 3.0 is set to empower users, giving them more control over their data and the value it generates, moving away from the data monopolies of previous internet iterations.
  • User-Centric Design: The key to successful integration lies in designing technologies that are intuitive, ensuring easy adoption and enjoyment by non-tech-savvy users
